The May of Apprenticeship breaks attendance records at the multicultural hall of Bagnols-sur-Cèze

This Wednesday, May 22, the 2024 edition of this work-study forum, co-organized by France Travail and the Local Youth Mission, saw a large turnout in the multicultural room of Bagnols-sur-Cèze which welcomed around thirty employers and CFA representatives.

Barely an hour after the opening of the multicultural room, the May of Learning was almost full. "The results are rather positive with a lot of people from 1 p.m. 30" declared the director of the  rsquo;Agence de France Travail in Bagnols-sur-Cèze Marie-Claude Tuffery. "We hoped so" added the director of the Local Youth Mission Gard rhodanien Uzège, Frédéric Combernous.< /p>

Around thirty stands

"It’is an event that allows you to meet these young people who are looking for an employer for work-study" declared for his part Jean-Marc Gucciardi, director of the Sainte-Marie private professional high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze which is both a vocational high school and a CFA. The head of the establishment was installed on one of the thirty stands deployed for the event.

Getting back in the saddle

The enclosure of this municipal building has broken attendance records for this 2024 edition of May of Apprenticeship. This is the place to be for young people who are still hesitating between alternation and school or who simply need to get back in the saddle.

A lady in retraining

Olivier Barré represents the Nextech association in Avignon. "We provide work-study training in five major areas: l&rsquo ;energy, digital, metalwork, commerce and industry which remains our profession." Among the people who stopped in front of his stand , there is this lady in retraining. "She is 40 years old. She is looking for a job. She is passionate about electricity. She wants to become a certifier in a company. The electronic BTS is the means by which it intends to achieve this" explains the representative of Nextech Formation.

"Young people are motivated"

This May of apprenticeship brought together different employment stakeholders in the multicultural room. "I am pleasantly surprised by the number of CVs that I see on the tables" declared the mayor of Bagnols Jean-Yves Chapelet. It proves that young people are motivated to find a job. And there they found professionals who took the time to present their sector of activity to them." The mayor did not hide his satisfaction. Ditto for the representative of the Agglo du Gard rhodanien Sébastien Bayart.
