The Montpellier Queen in the starting blocks: start of the festive and charity race this Sunday

La traditionnelle course de la Montpellier Reine contre le cancer du sein qui fête cette année ses 15 ans d’existence partira ce dimanche 26 mai, des jardins du Peyrou pour un parcours de 4,8 km dans les rues du centre-ville.

Like every year, on this Mother's Day, the traditional Montpellier Reine race which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, will leave this Sunday, May 26, from the Peyrou gardens for a course of 4, 8 km on the streets of the city center.

All profits will be donated to breast cancer prevention, screening and research. And this year, the organizers hope to cross the million euros mark collected since the creation of the event.

Good humor required

This festive and colorful race is for a great cause…hellip; You can come disguised or not before putting on the jersey – this year blue color – and to travel the journey together in a good mood.

Program, course… the 15th edition in practice

The 15th edition of the Montpellier Reine will take place on Sunday May 26, Mother's Day in Le Peyrou on a course is 4.8 km. This year the godmother of the event is the actress Ariane Brodier and the godfather the designer Dadou.

On the program: à 9 a.m., opening of the entertainment village, 10:30 a.m., official speech, 10:45 a.m., collective warm-up, 11:00 a.m. Start of the race, 12 p.m. check delivery. The collection of bibs will take place this Saturday until 2020. 6 p.m. and this Sunday from 8 a.m.

The Préfecture car park will be closed until’à 1 p.m. this Sunday.

The objective being to mobilize in favor of people suffering from breast cancer and to create wonderful memories for the occasion.
