All are indicted for their alleged involvement in cocaine trafficking set up from January 1, 2021 to May 27, 2022 between Guyana and Garons in 15 km from Nîmes.

On the first day of the hearing, this Tuesday, February 12, the court focused on trying to determine the roles and degrees of involvement of each party in this vast trafficking. drug. A drug which, once arriving in Garons, was then sold in Avignon or even in Sauve, to the north of Gard, by alleged dealers, two of whom must answer for their actions in court.

Questioned by the president of the court, Jérôme Reynes, mid-morning, Lisa (assumed first name) is notably accused of "unauthorized transport and importation of narcotics& ;quot;.

"I was ingesting 600 grams"

For long minutes, intimidated in front of magistrates and lawyers, the 25-year-old young woman recounts her ordeal. And more precisely how,  with her two children aged 4 years and 9 months at the time " to ward off suspicion at customs" (sic), she then found herself, according to her under duress, crossing the Atlantic between 10 and 15 times with a stomach full of cocaine at the risk of her life.

" 1 kilo hurt too much. I managed to swallow a maximum of 600 grams each time. I was paid between 4 and 6,000 euros per trip. But twice, I was given nothing, because the quality of the drugs was not suitable.

Up to 20 years incurred

In court, the day continued with the hearings of the other defendants. The requisitions of the public prosecutor Jean-Luc Vasserot were expected at the end of the afternoon.

In this case, the defendants face 10 years of imprisonment. Up to 20 years for two of them for whom repeat offenses could be upheld by the court. The deliberations of the criminal court are expected on Wednesday February 7 at the end of the day.
