The Nîmes School of Fine Arts opened its doors to the public this Saturday, February 3

Ce samedi 3 février, entre 10 h et 18 h, l'école supérieure des Beaux-arts de Nîmes (Esban) a organisé une journée portes ouvertes où étaient planifiées des visites guidées du site, des conférences et des présentations en tout genre.

This is the opportunity to make the place your own! The future artists of the ancient city were able to discover the teachings, the teams or certain projects that were presented to them as part of the open days of the establishment located 10 Grand Rue, in Nîmes.

125 students registered

This Saturday, February 3, students, children or parents wishing to visit the Nîmes art school are trickling in. "Last year we welcomed a lot of people for the JPO(open days, Editor's note), says Nicolas, a teacher and trainer at the school for thirty years. I don't know if it's is because of the recent blockages on the A9, but for the moment, it's quite calm", he quips it. 

With a total of 125 students divided between a License (National Art Diploma) and a Master (Higher National Diploma in Plastic Expression), Esban' nbsp;training in artistic creation and its professions. "The house is good as they say, jokes Elisa Verdier, second year Master's student. "I have followed my entire course here for five years now. I know the school a little bit and I recommend it 100%!"

How to integrate Esban ?

Among the questions frequently asked of students and teachers available this Saturday morning, many relate to admission procedures. "As far as I am concerned, I attended a preparatory school in Toulouse before taking the competitive exams", testifies Léa, student in second year in audiovisual. Music headphones on the ears, for Prune, "everything was done remotely. I was in an international high school in Boston, USA. I had to send a well-constructed portfolio and then I went before a jury orally."

At Esban, around one in three people who apply on the Parcoursup platform join the school. With significant international mobility throughout the course and the implementation of measures to promote professional integration (internships, residency, tutoring, etc.) the school'# 39;art founded in 1985 positions itself as an establishment of choice in the training of the artists of tomorrow.
