The opening of the new Allègre-les-Fumades thermal baths postponed until the end of June

Initially scheduled for April 10, the opening of the large renovated Allègre-les-Fumades thermal baths complex, near Alès, is now set for May 21 due to delays in the works.

The work is large-scale, has lasted for approximately two years and is estimated at 26 M€ for an opening this year.

However, the Allègre-les-Fumades thermal baths teams informed this Monday March 25 that the opening of the complex will be more than a month late. The opening of the resort's wellness areas and hotel, initially scheduled for April 10, is now set for May 21. The spa treatments, which were to begin on May 13, will finally start on June 10.

Delays and extensions

The postponement of the opening is the consequence of the delay in the renovation work according to the management of the thermal baths. A delay which postpones the appointments already made by 182 approved spa guests. "The costs inherent to this postponement will be covered by the Fumades thermal baths (accommodation, transport) upon presentation of supporting documents, it is specified.&amp ;nbsp;Their 18-day thermal treatment can be rescheduled for other dates in the 2024 thermal season."

At the same time, the Fumades thermal baths indicate that they have obtained an agreement from the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM) to extend the season: &amp ;quot;Agreed cures will be provided until November 30, i.e. three additional weeks". The season was originally scheduled to end on November 9.
