Ce jeudi 11 juillet, le temple d'Alès accueille le deuxième concert d'Orgues en Cévennes.

This Thursday, at 6:30 p.m., at the Alès temple, the Orgues en Cévennes association offers its second concert of the summer season with a recital by Frédéric Deschamps, the young and brilliant organist of the Sainte-Cécile d’Albi cathedral. Concert performer and specialist in European baroque music, he has given more than 300 recitals around the world during which he was able to share with his audience a repertoire covering more than five centuries of music. A recognized improviser, he is regularly invited to accompany silent films on the organ. His discography now includes 17 CDs which highlight various instruments and repertoires.

Today's Alesian program

This Thursday, Frédéric Deschamps chose to focus on several composers such as Sweelinck and his famous Ballo del Granduca, but also an aria by Vivaldi, or a chorale by Jean-Sébastien Bach with Schmucke dich, o leebe Seele , or the Adagio from the Easter Oratorio. Without forgetting Handel’s remarkable concerto in G minor. Finally, he will improvise, in the great French tradition, a partita on the theme of a Lutheran chorale from the 17th century.

Free contribution to costs.
