The Peps association is calling for help to bring its solidarity garage project to fruition in Bagnols-sur-Cèze

The Peps association has been carrying out a solidarity garage project in Bagnols-sur-Cèze for some time. This would offer vehicle repairs for precarious people and for those who wish to enter the world of work. To do this, funds and volunteers are needed.

The Peps association, a training organization which offers vehicle rental, has been carrying out the project of creating a solidarity garage for several years now. This garage will be aimed at “populations who do not have the necessary resources to go to other garages"says Sandra Rolland, director of Peps. The opening initially planned for the end of 2022 has been postponed: there is a lack of human resources, equipment and tools for vehicle repair.

Partner support and request for help

The funds from the France Relance plan from which the association benefited for this project are not sufficient to ensure the safe opening of the garage. Mathieu Feneyrolles, co-manager of Restos du Cœur de Bagnols, contacted Sandra Rolland to put her in touch with the Dumas company which can provide "expertise and network& quot;. A meeting will be held with the aim of "taking a tour of the territory and seeing who is ready to invest in the garage and mobilizing volunteers for the start-up, in waiting to have an employee" announces Sandra Rolland. 17,000 euros are missing to make the project a reality. The launch of this solidarity garage seems essential in a department where many people are in precarious situations. Furthermore, since its launch in 2021, the vehicle rental service has enabled around forty people to find work or mobility.
