The prefecture closes the collective reception of minors from the Muslim cultural association in Pont-Saint-Esprit

The reception of minors at the Muslim cultural association of the Pont-Saint-Esprit mosque has been closed by the Gard prefecture MIDI LIBRE ARCHIVE – F.R.

The Gard prefecture has closed the collective reception of minors within the mosque of the Muslim cultural association in Pont-Saint-Esprit.

It was through a press release, via its Facebook page, that the Gard prefecture announced the closure of the collective reception of minors at the ACM mosque in Pont-Saint-Esprit, this Wednesday, May 29.

The departmental Youth, Engagement and Sports service monitored this collective reception, of an educational nature, of minors, on Saturday, May 25, in the presence of the president of the association . The prefecture officials were accompanied by representatives of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Gard.

According to the Gard prefecture, " serious non-compliance linked to fire safety and the absence of a favorable opinion from the municipal fire commission were noted. The Gard prefecture criticizes those responsible for this reception for 27 minors for not having completed the necessary "formalities provided for by the texts"& nbsp;and notes that therefore, "the health and physical or moral safety of these minors" are not insured.

In this prefectural decree, the State services noted that classrooms had been created without authorization from the competent security commission. Or even that in the absence of a declaration, the representative of the State "n’had been able to carry out an inspection of the ;reputability of those involved in contact with minors received, nor verify their qualifications."
