In recent days, metal bars have started to take place on the avenue which will host the future tramway in 2025.

For months, Avenue Georges-Clemenceau has been a vast construction site with trenches, crevices, dust, construction equipment and barricades. However, for the past few days, local residents have been almost relieved: the first rails have been laid as a concrete symbol of the upcoming end of the work.

Because work on line 5 of the future tramway is progressing. The metal bars appeared and the first welding was carried out this Friday, April 26, near the future station “Parc Clemenceau”, in the presence of Michaël Delafosse, the mayor of Montpellier and Julie Frêche, deputy delegate for transport.
