This year again, she is tall, dark-haired and has a smile that would make more than one person jealous. Her name ? Mathilde Defosse.

An expected event

This Saturday, June 8, afternoon, the hall of the Coupole shopping center was once again the scene of the election of Miss Nîmes. An event which was highly anticipated and which saw the future 21-year-old nurse, Mathilde Defosse, win the prestigious title which will allow her to compete on July 29 in Alès for the semi-final of Miss Languedoc. First to set off with her number 1, in the public, some already saw it as a sign of destiny

"It’is an incredible experience !", exclaimed the young winner just off the stage and wearing her new scarf. "I’have trouble finding my words, I go through all the emotions. That's a lot at once", she admitted with her big smile which, a few minutes earlier, knew how to seduce the jury which included Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024. Born in Vaucluse, the new Miss of the city of Antonin became a Nîmes native at heart three years ago "when I started my studies to become a nurse" .

"I'm sure you'll be able to make your choice"

It was not yet 2 p.m. when visitors and the most curious were already numerous in the shopping center, spread over the different floors of the Coupole. And for good reason, the competition began in style with the exceptional presence of Miss France 2024. "I am sure you will be able to make your choice" , she declared into the microphone before taking her place among the various members of the jury.
