Le chauffeur de la balayeuse a eu le temps de sortir juste avant que le véhicule ne s'embrase entièrement ce lundi 8 janvier.

It was around 11:40 a.m. this Monday, January 8, rue du Mail in Vauvert, when a sweeper from the Nicollin company, a service provider for the municipality for street cleaning, caught fire.

Around ten firefighters mobilized

The driver, having smelled smoke coming from the floor, had the presence of mind to park and get out of the vehicle just before it completely burst into flames. The ten firefighters dispatched to the site took around thirty minutes to put out the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes and to the cars of the residents of the nearby Cabidoule residence.< /p>

The vehicle's tires exploded

The municipal police officers who arrived quickly on the scene were able to secure the location located very close to the Libération school with students who were leaving classes at that time. Several explosions rang out, but it was only the vehicle's tires that could not withstand the effect of the heat.

Around 1:40 p.m., a tow truck came to remove the completely burned vehicle. A fire which fortunately only caused material damage.
