The ticket. Artificial intelligence: “common sense!”

Leaving aside one's prejudices was the prerequisite for participating in the first citizens' convention on artificial intelligence. Here, there is no question of hiding a subject or ignoring a fear. Everyone exchanges, helps each other, learns from each other while putting their biases aside.

The task is not simple, however; the subject of AI has been at the center of discussions for months. Often presented as one of the greatest upheavals of the 21st century, AI would eliminate thousands of jobs and destabilize our democracies. So it was time to seize it. If the fears are legitimate, there is no question of falling into the trap. We leave prejudices aside, we listen to professionals and we form an opinion, likely to advance the debate.

A question, however, remains in the minds of the participants: will their opinions be taken into account by the community ? This has not always been the case during previous citizens' conventions like the one on the climate. The president of the metropolis, at the origin of this initiative, assures us that yes. We bet that common sense will follow in the footsteps of artificial intelligence.
