Eddy Termini is a photographer and videographer in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. He is also the owner of the Imagine studio in Pont-Saint-Esprit. He is above all the privileged witness of the unions that are made but also and sometimes, the saddened observer of the alliances that wear out until they break over the years.

In a wedding celebration there is the mayor, the priest and the photographer. Of the three protagonists, the least visible is often the last mentioned. It’s not Eddy Termini who would say the opposite. The photographer from 2 avenue Léon Blum who also manages the Imagine studio in Pont-Saint-Esprit is the privileged witness of the unions that take place but also and sometimes, the sorry observer of the alliances that take place. rsquo;wear themselves to breaking point over the years.  Eddy Termini has around 500 marriages to his credit over the last 20 years.

We enter people's lives

This summer, he will immortalize 13 weddings. "Each union presents a singularity depending on whether it is a wedding& nbsp;Moroccan, Algerian, Israeli, Gypsy or French. There are wedding festivities where there is a lot of dancing", says the photographer and videographer. Hence his proven expertise on how to prepare for such an event. It all depends on the order of the bride and groom. "In a way, we enter into their lives, we speak to them on familiar terms and we almost become friends with them".

The wedding cake

Some people may request the services of a photographer right from the preparations: a visit to the beautician, hairdressing, putting on the dress, the groom's suit and a couple's photo. Then it's the town hall, the church if necessary, the aperitif and the group photo. There is also the wedding cake, "a real added value", just like the opening of the ball by the bride and groom.

Group photo

Eddy Termini goes with his pretty phrase: “The photographer is the centerpiece of a successful wedding. But I have to make people laugh. It creates an atmosphere in the group photo. When I make a beautiful album, I show it to people. I am happier than when I give a USB key. Nothing happens, whereas with a family album, you open it, you pass it around from table to table. People chat, they have a drink and that's it. That's photography. It's not a digital code."

Budget question

"In terms of budget, using the services of a photographer can range from 980 € to 4 500 € if the bride and groom take the video with" underlines Eddy Termini. If the use of a drone is not systematic, it remains an increasingly trendy option. "It remains very regulated. “We have to declare five days in advance at Alpha Tango that there will be a flyover of the nuptial perimeter,” explains the 49-year-old photographer. “We will see the bride and groom at least six months in advance. We will suggest times and locations that we have chosen based on the lighting. Group photos, for example, we take them in the shade.”

Locations for the wedding stroll

The photographer's role is also to define the sequences and timing. “I show them lots of places in Bagnols-sur-Cèze and the surrounding area, from La Roque-sur-Cèze to the Gorges de l’Ardèche, via Aiguèze and the Château de Saint-Victor-la-Coste. Eddy Termini obtained permission from a Dutch couple who requested his services to use the ancient theatre in the Vaucluse town of Orange. “They gave me an hour to take photos", he says.

Unions that wear out

It also happens that the adventure ends, that the most beautiful sentimental stories fade away in the meanders of thwarted loves that end in divorce. “It's sad, comments the photographer from Bagnolais. I have had married couples that I photographed, who then divorced and who came back to see me for their remarriage with a new person. It happens quite often".

An ambition, an achievement

"I have always taken photographs. I have had my film camera since I was little. "At the time it cost a fortune and not many people had a camera of their own", he explains. Eddy Termini attended a photography school in Montpellier. He attended the Gérard Philipe college in Bagnols-sur-Céze until the third grade. He tried the technical high school. “I hadn't found my way” he says. Eddy Termini ended up joining the Jean-François Champollion high school in Lattes. "ÇIt went really well" he says. It was in the Hérault establishment that he obtained his professional baccalaureate in photography as an audiovisual equipment operating agent. &Agrave At the time he also attended the Guynemer high school in Uzès where he passed a professional baccalaureate in cabinetmaking. Eddy Termini then met Anne-Laure, the woman who would become his wife. He was 18 and she was two years younger. He then joined the communications department of the Owens Corning company in Laudun-l'Ardoise. He then created the Imagine studio in Pont-Saint-Esprit. And he ended up buying the Phox store in Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
