He joins other athletes like Camille Lacourt, Teddy Riner or Clarisse Agbegnenou among the 250 personalities represented.

The first disabled athlete will enter the Grévin museum: a few months before the Paralympic Games, 23-year-old French swimmer Théo Curin will have his wax statue, the institution announced on Thursday.

After six months of making, the statue bearing the effigy of Théo Curin will join those of other athletes such as Camille Lacourt, Teddy Riner and Clarisse Agbegnenou on March 8, 2024, among the 250 personalities represented.

He's someone who is absolutely luminous

"Above all, he is someone who is absolutely luminous, who is a real sun, who is a lesson for good number, whether you are disabled or not", underlines Véronique Berecz, head of external relations at the Grévin museum.

At 16, Théo Curin participated in his first Paralympic Games in Rio, before becoming a double world vice-champion in 2017 and winning the bronze medal at the World Championships in London two years ago later.
