This Friday, April 12, 2024, nearly 150 poultry were discovered locked in the sheds of an individual in Uckange in Moselle. An investigation was opened for ill-treatment.

A hundred poultry lived literally piled up in their excrement, reports France Bleu.

Visible signs of abuse

After a report, two animal protection associations, the Fondation Brigitte Bardot and Elry’s place , went to the site, route d’Ébange.

They then discovered nearly 150 chickens, ducks and chicks in the garden sheds of a private individual. The poor animals, some in cages, lived in filth on top of each other.

The animals even showed signs of mistreatment, according to our colleagues at France Bleu.

Called, the gendarmerie went to the scene to observe the facts. An investigation has been opened for mistreatment.

Taken from their owner, the animals were recovered by the two associations.
