“They say everything except what they want to hide…” reacts the Manifesto about the steering committee of the future joint hospital of South Aveyron

Le communiqué officiel du copil, tenu le 8 avril, insiste sur "le respect du projet médical".

Eight days. This is the time between the holding of the last steering committee (copil) of the Sud Aveyron common hospital (*) and the brief official press release sent to the media this Tuesday, April 16 at the end of the day. In the introduction it is first announced é "the launch of the project management contract, in compliance with the shared medical project and the allocated budget envelopes."

The rest evokes "the final guidelines before launching the project management consultation. In accordance with the shared medical project of South Aveyron and the conclusions of the technical working groups in which the staff of the two hospitals are associated, all the activities planned on the Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon site are integrated into the real estate project.&quot ;

"The project continues on schedule"

Insisting on "in-depth analytical work" the members of the copil certify in the communicated that "the project continues in compliance with the schedule and the dedicated financial envelope, without compromising its coherence or removing any care or medico-technical activity (laboratory, pharmacy , imagery…)." This particular point had been at the heart of the gathering of more than a hundred caregivers from the Millau hospital on the afternoon of April 5. Concern was then very strong, particularly among the head of the biology laboratory department at the Millavois hospital.

Mobilization this Saturday, April 20 in Saint-Affrique

A call to demonstrate "to users and health professionals" has been launched for this Saturday April 20 from 10 a.m. in front of the Saint-Affrique hospital. "The project to build a new hospital near Millau cannot be used to devitalize the current hospitals&quot ; is it written in the leaflet signed by members of the Manifesto but also a doctor from the Saint-Affrique hospital."Decisions made in health must be made first and foremost to meet the needs of residents. The ARS has promised 4.5 M€ to renovate the Saint-Affrique hospital, it must keep its promise." Also note that the Peasant Confederation stands in solidarity with the movement and will be present this SATURDAY. "We believe that a State which is capable of releasing millions to asphalt agricultural land to build motorways (A69 Castres-Toulouse, A88 between Rodez and Sévérac) rejected by the population must be able to maintain a hospital in our beautiful South Aveyron basin."

In these last two paragraphs the official press release announces that "the preliminary studies for the works contracts will therefore be able to be launched very soon and the detailed technical program will be presented to the less than June." Without forgetting to reaffirm a desire "to move forward with determination to sustainably strengthen the health offer and the quality of care, at the service of all residents from South Aveyron."

"A Copil of the Void…"

Pierre-Jean Girard of Sud santé is caustic: "for the moment everything is fine, at least according to what this press release says. But it was not us, the unions, who set the fire with the report of the previous meeting where the reduction of the biology laboratory was mentioned! And, so that there are no more problems, the director of the Benoît Durand hospital announced to us that there would be no more copil&hellip reports. ;"

Henri Célié, from the Manifesto, denounces "a copy of the void with an example of rigged language. It is also very regrettable that no caregivers sit there anymore. There we only find technocrats and elected officials. They say everything except what they want to hide. In this case there is a wolf."
