Thirtieth edition of the mini-basketball tournament on the JBD high school court

Like every year, the 5-11 year olds competed against each other in a friendly tournament. 

This Saturday, the national mini-basketball festival celebrated its thirtieth edition. Like every year, the sports fields of the Jean-Baptiste-Dumas high school, as well as the gymnasium, are occupied by all the basketball teams in the 5-11 year old Gardoise category, both female and male. In total, 43 teams compete without any stakes around matches "without aggression." 

"The very goal of this tournament is the exchange, the meeting, explains Marie Lacoste  from the Gard mini-basket committee. Everything is done in a festive spirit, hence the name of National holiday!" 

In the afternoon, the gymnasium also hosts games and tournaments for "toddlers", before a symbolic medal ceremony.
