A first controversy for Amélie Oudéa-Castéra in the context of her new "superpost" at the Ministry of Education, Sports and the Olympic Games. Our colleagues from Médiapart revealed that she had made the decision to send her three children to private schools.& ;nbsp;
Educated at Stanislas
The name of the chosen establishment has been revealed: the minister's three children study at the Stanislas college-lyceum, a private establishment.
Questioned on the question by our colleagues, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra wanted to justify this decision: "I am not going to dodge your question. We're going to go to the personnel field.
These are failures in the public establishment of her eldest son who allegedly pushed her, with her husband , to change direction: "My eldest son, Vincent, started, like his mother, at public school". Before adding that, during this experiment, they had "seen bundles of hours which were not seriously replaced". < /p>
Furthermore, the family then lived on rue Stanislas, where the eponymous private establishment was located: "Schooling our children in Stanislas was a local choice".
The criticisms are flying
The former co-president of the Federation of Parent Teacher Councils (FCPE), Rodrigo Arenas, announced that he was going speak to the rector of the academy for these “abominable” remarks.

The choice of Amélie Oudéa-Castéra triggered a wave of reactions. The secretary of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure, described the minister's justification as “mind-blowing”. : "The public school of which I am now the minister was not good enough for my children so I sent them to a private high school whose values are, according to the surveys carried out there , far from republican values, he reinterpreted.
Green MP Julien Bayou wrote on X (Twitter): "The Minister of the Olympic Games and Education explains that her child is in the private sector because of the teachers not replaced in the public… in front of the former Minister of Education who had promised '1 class 1 teacher'!".& ;nbsp;
