A 15-year-old teenager has been the victim of school bullying in Nice for several months. After a video was broadcast on social networks, the parents decided to file a complaint.

He is a student at the professional high school Les Palmiers in Nice who has been the victim of school harassment for many months. After experiencing a real nightmare, the family of the 15-year-old teenager decided to file a complaint, reports France Bleu.< /p>

Physical and moral attacks

It has been six months since Edouard (assumed name used by our colleagues) was the target of'" insults", but also "mockery and'"humiliation", and this, on a daily basis. The physical or moral attacks he suffered could be very violent. Several of his comrades picked up a toothbrush that was on the ground before forcing it into his mouth and buttocks, reports France Bleu.

The teenager is also pushed, all filmed and certainly posted online. "I fear this video will be broadcast on social networks", he confides. His mother, devastated, does not want to see the images broadcast, describing this moment as "much too hard". What he was accused of was his side "solitary", detail our colleagues.

Édouard explains that he has come to the point where he can no longer sleep at night and decides to break the silence and therefore talk about it. While he has been the victim of school harassment since the start of the 2023 school year, a doctor prescribed him two weeks of absence and three days of ITT.

"He seemed completely normal"

After being informed, the teenager's mother is very touched. "I have absolutely nothing seen. I blame myself. I could have reacted before, I wasted time. He seemed completely normal. He played with his sisters. He was talking to me about his grades, as if nothing had happened, she said.

But the matter is now in the hands of the courts, since Edouard's mother has filed a complaint against four classmates. An investigation is being carried out, announces the rectorate.

Regarding the adolescent's future in this establishment, the mother explained that if a definitive exclusion was not pronounced, her son will change location# 39;school.

A self-assessment grid

Among the new features announced last September by the Minister of Education Gabriel Attal, this anonymous questionnaire which will make it possible to better measure the extent of the phenomenon.

"Are you afraid of going to college because of one or more students ?", &quot ;Does one or more students say false or mean things about you ?" Here are the types of questions that students answered in November in the self-assessment grid that will be distributed to them on the occasion of the National Anti-Harassment Day. school.

This document contains around forty questions, adapted in wording to each level of schooling. Above all, this will make it possible to establish reliable statistics on incidents of school bullying because this questionnaire remains anonymous, it will not necessarily make it possible to identify harassed students who have gone under the radar. Some studies estimate that more than 10% of middle school students have already been confronted with it. 

This questionnaire, which will concern all students from CE2 to final year, was developed by recognized childhood specialists, such as Marcel Rufo, Éric Debarbieux and Nicole Catheline. But students will not be required to complete it. A restitution of the results is planned for the attention of parents but its terms have not been defined.
