A 4 year old child drowns

#LE GRAU-DU-ROI – This Tuesday, July 9, around 10:30 a.m., a 4-year-old child drowned in Grau-du-Roi, in the Gard. His body was found floating in a canal, near a quay, in Port-Camargue. It seems that the child has escaped the vigilance of his parents. Emergency services recovered the little victim but were unable to resuscitate him. The child died.

The Benoît oil factory ravaged by flames

#GARD –Flames several meters high and immense black smoke in the sky. This Tuesday, July 9, 2024 around 5 a.m., a major fire broke out in the Benoît food factory manufacturing refined oils and fats, in Saint-Christol-lès-Alès, in Gard. Alerted by smoke visible from his remote video surveillance screens, the manager alerted his employees who then called the firefighters. There were 110 of them responding on site, describing "an extremely virulent fire". Firefighters asked residents to confine themselves. A new wolf attack in Aveyron

Valère Segal is mayor
