Two years before the municipal elections in Frontignan, the first settling of scores

Declared candidate for town hall of Frontignan since June 2023, Just Gonzalez reacts to the candidacy of Thibaut Cléret and plans for the future.

When he opened his favorite newspaper, in this case Midi Libre of July 11, Just Gonzalez, already declared candidate for mayor of Frontignan since June 2023, n  rsquo;couldn't help but react when he saw that Thibaut Cléret, also a candidate in 2020, was heading back into battle. And he doesn't mince his words.

It was he who elected the mayor

"It’s a big deception, he delivers straight away. When he says that "the left has made the city dirty, shabby and dangerous”, he forgets that it was he who got the mayor elected by calling for a barrier to Gérard Prato. Moreover, his running mates had asked to call a vote to find out what to do. Vote which did not take place. I therefore warn people who would like to join him. Politically this person has discredited himself. I always had my own guideline and I never gave instructions".

Meetings with Pierre Bouldoire

A "guideline" that the firefighter intends to maintain for the distant and future election. So Just Gonzalez makes no secret of the fact that he met his "friend" Pierre Bouldoire, the former mayor of Frontignan. “He left his mark on the city for 25 years. I was in the PS before but then our ideas diverged. But Pierre is a friend. Unlike others, friendship takes precedence over politics. I asked him many questions about how a municipal machine works”.

A project under construction

During these meetings, Gérard Prato – a former candidate who rejected the RN since – was present. “He continues to help me, to support me”, confides Just Gonzalez. The candidate also has meetings “with lots of people including former running mates of Cléret. I listen to people. I build my project. In any case, what is certain is that there is a desire for change. And I ask myself how to help people in this desire”, he says.
