Several families had settled illegally at the André-Subirats stadium, in Balaruc-le-Vieux.

The eviction request had been notified on February 19 by the prefect of Hérault, with 24 hours' notice. This Sunday, February 25, the caravans illegally installed at the municipal stadium of Balaruc-le-Vieux, near Sète, left the premises. Only a few hours before the planned eviction operation, according to our information , for this Monday, February 26 in the morning by the police.

Several families belonging to the Traveler community had taken possession of the premises, denouncing the closure of the Frontignan reception area due to work, which had resulted in their expulsion from the site in September 2023.

A mediation was then initiated between the sixteen families present at the reception area of ​​Frontignan and Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée, manager of the site. Without success.
