Le tour de France de la dictée en gare fera étape à Nîmes, le mercredi 5 juin prochain, avec des animations gratuites et ouvertes à tous.

Initiated in 2022 by France Culture and SNCF Gares & Connexions, the Tour de France of dictation in stations travels across the metropolitan territory with one objective: to invest in all regions by the end of 2024. For the next edition, head to the Occitanie region!

Dictations open to all

The literary extracts on which users of Nîmes Center station will work on Wednesday June 5 will be structured around the theme "Music in celebration !", in a wink at the Nîmes Festival, started this Friday, May 31. That day, Rachid Santaki will host, in the hall, five different dictations, free and with open access. "Monsieur Dictée" will be accompanied by local public figures, who will perform the first readings.

Raise awareness about reading and spelling

Organized with the logistical support of Nîmes Métropole and the City of Nîmes, this operation is a continuation of the cultural policy of SNCF Gares & Connexions, which has been committed for several years to promoting reading to all audiences. In addition to raising awareness about the practice of reading and mastering the French language, it is about encouraging the creation of links between individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Thus, the moment is intended to be friendly and open to all: pupils or students, grammar buffs, simply curious…hellip; Between each exercise session lasting a total of 30 minutes, a musical break around the station piano should be offered.

Meet in the lobby of Nîmes Center station. Five different dictations will be offered at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. Free and open access for all audiences, from 7 years old. Materials (notebook and pencil) provided to participants.
