More than 200 dream vehicles on display at the motorhome, van and van show at the exhibition center until Sunday April 7, in Béziers.

With almost 200 vehicles presented to the public until April 7, the motorhome, van and converted van show has something to attract escape enthusiasts.< /p>

"Mobility, explains Daniel, retired for a few months and fan of motorhomes for decades, is a way for me to build another career path after years of a clearly defined life in employment. The routine I have been in for years is weighing me down and I want to find a way to escape here. It's decided, I'm going to live full time in the next vehicle I'm going to buy. I believe that this will be the beginning of a quest for meaning, of a new life, that’s a certainty. I want to exist, but differently."

More than ever since the Covid crisis, the motorhome and van market has grown considerably in France. A way to live away from home, but in your own small mobile apartment.

A clientele always present and interested

"The market is stabilizing, confirms André Raynaud of the company TPL (Tout pour le leisure). Sales are balanced between vans and motorhomes. But the clientele is still there, very present. These are people who have time. More and more young people are coming to this mode of leisure. This phenomenon was born with Covid. There was an explosion there. Now we are returning to a more normal market. Prices have stopped soaring due to lack of stock. We can say it, this remains a sector of activity that is doing very well."

At the Béziers exhibition, vehicles from 45,000 € inspire escape, others, at more than 250,000 €, are downright dream-like. Real houses on wheels where you can bring your whole family and your whole life there, with just a flick of the key in the starter.

A market that has balanced itself

Laurent Garcia, who works for the Narbonne accessories company, the largest company in France in the field of accessories for nomadic life, also sees life in a positive light. "Even if the economic context linked to numerous conflicts has repercussions on the leisure vehicle market, we are in the process of regaining control over a market which had somewhat escaped our control due to online sales. We have a network of stores in France which covers between 65 and 70% of the market. It’s a sector that is doing well, even if it’s clientele is changing a little. We have the older ones moving towards motorhomes and the younger ones towards vans and vans. Many make this last choice to gain autonomy and freedom in the face of increasingly heavy constraints on motorhomes."

For this show, the organizers have done everything possible to bring together all the trades in this leisure sector. There are dealers, accessories manufacturers, but also repairers.
