Caught in the violent gusts of winds from Storm Kathleen, the pilots of a Turkish Airlines Airbus failed to land on the runway at Birmingham Airport, United Kingdom , where the aircraft coming from Istanbul was to land.

This flight operated by Turkish Airlines did not go as planned this Sunday, April 7: due to rough weather, caused by storm Kathleen, the pilots of an Airbus who were to fly to Birmingham from Istanbul were unable to land as planned.

Gusts at 80 km/h

Violent gusts of wind at 80 km prevented the aircraft from landing on the tarmac of the English airport, and after two unsuccessful attempts, the pilots were forced to to divert the plane to Gatwick, approximately 200 km from the initial destination.

On images relayed by Le Parisien, we see the plane pitching in all directions, then s&rsquo ;approach the runway before going around again.

According to our colleagues, several flights were disrupted by gusty winds today, notably one from Toulouse which ended up landing without incident.
