A man and his motorcycle were dragged 2.5 kilometers down a highway in India by a fleeing truck.

The accident occurred this Sunday, April 14, in Telangana, India. In a video widely shared on social networks, a man and his motorcycle were dragged nearly 2.5 km of a highway by a truck.

Amazing scene

The images show an impressive scene. The driver is hanging on to the truck, standing on his motorcycle which remains stuck under the vehicle. The truck continues to drive at a certain speed while sparks fly from all sides.

After the video was widely distributed on the Internet, authorities were able to track down the truck driver. Originally, he had hit a cyclist and fled.

He hit a cyclist just before fleeing

The man fell off his bike just before the driver tried to escape. Several people then started chasing him, including the motorcyclist who was also hit. Fortunately, he was able to get on his motorcycle which continued to be dragged by the truck. The other individuals filmed the surreal scene with their phones.

The driver of the motorcycle was fortunately not injured, unlike his two-wheeler, ready for scrapping. He filed a complaint adding that the truck driver also hit another car after this incident, reports The Economic Indian Times.
