Kilauea, one of the most active and imposing volcanoes in the world, is about to wake up this Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in the morning. Indeed, webcams monitoring the volcano show a halo, indicating that lava is flowing from cracks south of the caldera, according to Futura< /strong>.

The last eruption in this area dates back to December 1974. It would have lasted only a few hours and it is impossible to know if this scenario could happen again for this new eruption.

Red alert for air traffic
