Un but spectaculaire pour ses adieux: Olivier Giroud n'a pas manqué son dernier match avec l'AC Milan dans le Championnat d'Italie samedi à l'occasion de la 38e et dernière journée de la Serie A.

The French striker who will join Los Angeles FC and the North American Championship (MLS) at the age of 37 after Euro-2024 (June 14-July 14), scored his 49th goal in his 132nd match in all competitions since arriving in Milan in 2021.

The top scorer in the history of the France team doubled the lead for Milan against Salernitana in the 27th minute (2-0) by starting off balance a corner. The 2018 world champion and 2022 world vice-champion was applauded at length by the San Siro public and congratulated by his teammates. He was very close to opening the scoring in the 2nd minute, but came up against the opposing goalkeeper.

The former Montpellier scorer (2010-12), from' Arsenal (2012-18) and Chelsea (2018-22) finished the 2023-24 financial year as their club's top scorer with 15 goals in the league, their best performance since 2016.

Giroud will, however, wear the AC Milan jersey once again, during a friendly match scheduled for May 31 against AS Rome in… . Australia, before joining the French team for its last tournament.
