Volleyball: Arago de Sète offered the best possible reaction in Nice

The Sète team won in three sets on Saturday, October 12, with serenity and control.

While the Biterrois team did not necessarily succeed for the Sète volleyball players, the Côte d'Azur certainly allowed them to get back on track. This Saturday, they effectively taught a lesson to a Nice team that had, until then, given a good impression after its matches against Toulouse and Montpellier.

One-way

The score (17-25, 18-25, 21-25) is proof of this, we only saw one team on the field. « It was a solid match amp;raquo;, confirms Luc Marquet.« We took the lead very quickly and didn't let up until the end. We knew we would have space if we attacked them on serve. They are a team that is a bit weak on reception, we had to bypass the central defenders who can be dangerous. We held up well on serve-receive, it had also been a long time since we had such good indicators on the "side out". We felt serenity. »

Morale takes off…

This outing to the Côte d'Azur will therefore have had only positive effects on the group. The Sète coach wanted to see the Arago season officially start after a missed first match against Tourcoing, so he is certainly satisfied. «  In the absence of Célestin Cardin, who we had to rest for his knee, Tristan Schlienger was highlighted by Danilo Gelinski, he played a very good match. Tibo Rippert finished the match well, Danilo Hrytsenko too by serving well on floating balls. Everyone was happy with this victory, even those who didn't play. We fixed what wasn't working. We have to continue to stabilize all that, but the guys reacted well. »

…the pulp too

The next meeting is therefore scheduled for this Saturday, at the Maurice-Vié hall. Places will be expensive and confirmation is expected against a formidable team. «  The way we played is for us the best way to approach the match against Poitiers », concludes Luc Marquet. «  We have regained confidence. For morale, getting away from the pulp at the bottom feels good!  »
