Montpellier challenges Poitiers in the semi-finals -Final of the Coupe de France. The club from the Hérault capital is favorite for a meeting which could send it to the final of a competition which it has never won. The MHSC VB is in good shape since Loic Le Marrec and his players have five victories in a row in all competitions, including a recent one in Poitiers, already (3-0). The Héraultais are in full force in Vienne with, in particular, the Olympic champion Nicolas Le Goff currently in great shape. In the other semi-final, Nantes hosts Tours.

Décla

Reached this Tuesday by telephone, Nicolas Le Goff spoke a few hours before the match: “We are approaching this match like any other. There is a certain pressure that builds in the semi-final as we get closer to the goal. You should not put pressure on yourself because it is the best way to outsmart or even play under stress. We are aware of the stakes.”

It was finalist in the championship in 2000, 2007, 2008 and 2012. The Vienne club also won the Coupe de France three times in 1996, 2002 and 2020.
