Volleyball: victorious in Marcq-en-Barœul, the Béziers Angels secure the Top 6

The Béziers Angels were full of confidence before the play-offs. Giacomo Italiano

The Béziers Angels won without trembling (3-0), late Saturday afternoon, during the last match of the regular phase in the AF League. Sixth in the championship, the Biterroises will enter the play-offs next week.

Qualified for the quarter-finals of the AF League, but still in the race to grab a sixth place, perhaps synonymous with European qualification next season, the Béziers Angels finished as the best of the manners the regular phase of the championship. Opposed for this final meeting before the play-offs against a team from Marcq-en-Barœul freed from all challenges, the Biterroises reassured and delivered a solid performance.

A mastered match

In front of their audience, they were the ones who entered the meeting best and controlled the debates. A domination logically rewarded by the victory of the first set (25-20). Led in particular by their new Polish sharp, recently arrived as a medical joker, the Béziers Angels then made the break in the second set (25-18), before finishing the work in the third and final set (25-15).

Enough to secure sixth place in the AF League and build confidence before diving into the deep end of the play-offs at the start of next week. With the one and only objective of offering Béziers volleyball a second French champion title.
