Depuis une semaine, pas moins d’une centaine d’élèves sont pris de malaises et de vomissements dans une école primaire de la Marne.

Since last week, dozens of students from the Fère-Champenoise primary school in Marne have been sick and are showing sometimes worrying symptoms. In total, no less than a hundred children are sick. The carbon monoxide poisoning trail was confirmed this Monday, indicates Le Parisien.

L’ARS on site

At the end of last week, nearly 80 students began to show worrying symptoms: vomiting, headaches, itching…hellip; Some even had to be placed on oxygen in the middle of the establishment’s courtyard. This Monday, at least two dozen children had to be rescued by firefighters for the same problems, such as nausea and discomfort, underlines the daily newspaper.

If the prefecture had assured that their state of health "was not worrying", the ARS (Regional Health Agency) decided to come and see what is happening in this primary school in Marne. After a multitude of tests, the results were unanimous: carbon monoxide poisoning was confirmed, reports France Bleu.< /p>

Origin unknown

After noting an abnormally high CO2 level in the blood of these students, the SDIS and the ARS are looking the origin of the problem. Although they initially thought it was a gas leak, for the moment no anomaly has been detected in the school.

Temporary closure

For obvious security reasons, the Fère-Champenoise primary school is closed after a decision by the mayor and of National Education. In order to prevent children from dropping out completely, due to this temporary closure, temporary reception solutions have been put in place, specifies Le Parisien, non-sick students will still be able to take classes in college rooms that have been requisitioned.
