Le quatuor Anches enchantées et le danseur hip-hop sont en spectacle à la salle multiculturelle de Bagnols-sur-Cèze le 18 octobre. La représentation associe l’héritage du compositeur Richard Strauss et la culture hip-hop.
It's a mix of 19th and 21st century culture. The Strauss & co hip-hop show is tonight at 8:30 pm at the multicultural hall in Bagnols-sur-Cèze. The performance combines the music and legacy of Richard Strauss, performed by the Magic Reed Quartet, and hip-hop dance with Bryan Montarou.
“It's a nod to the past, says Elise Marre, the show's bass clarinetist. The waltz was very frowned upon when it was first performed. It started out as a popular dance from the suburbs and has since become a staple. It's a bit the same with hip-hop, which is becoming a staple of our society."
A show for all audiences
The show was created a year ago and is "for all audiences". The quartet "tries to deconstruct the spectators' preconceptions, adds the clarinetist. It's a show with a big repertoire and which is very lively."
Tickets are available for purchase from the website of the city of Bagnols-sur-Cèze.
