#FLOODS – This is the amount of work in euros to strengthen the Usclas-d&rsquo dike ;Hérault. "Since the start of the year, we have had five episodes in the Cévennes, we must prepare for climate change and the rapid rise and fall of waters" , explains Christophe Morgo, president of the ETPB of the Hérault river. "The process consists of installing sheet piles, a metal curtain which guarantees the ;watertightness of the work", details Paul Chevrier, project manager.
In Hérault, driving at 90 km/h is legal
#ROUTES –The administrative court has just ruled in favor of the Department of Hérault regarding the speed on the departmental roads. Now it is legal to drive at 90 km/h. The mobility orientation law allowed communities to choose between 80 and 90 km/h. In 2020, Hérault chose 90 km/h, the League against road violence decided to take legal action and obtained a return to 80 km/h in 2022. On April 9, the Montpellier administrative court dismissed the association and ruled in favor of the Hérault departmental council and the return to 90 km/h.
Glucksmann in Montpellier
#EUROPE –It was the Hérault residents of the Place publique movement and the Socialize Party who announced it this Monday on ;rsquo;Europe” in the running for the European elections on June 9, will be the main headliner of a meeting organized in Montpellier. The location, time and identity of the other participants in this meeting should be known later. But we can already think that the (socialist) mayor of Montpellier, Michaël Delafosse, and the (also socialist) president of the Occitanie region, Carole Delga, will be among the cast of personalities brought to speak.
A Mende shuttle – Paris Orly via Rodez
#AIRPLANE –From this Wednesday, April 17, we will no longer be able to reach Paris by plane from Mende via Loudes, 10 kilometers from Puy-en-Velay, to take the Hugon Tourisme coach shuttle. At issue: the denunciation of the public service delegation contract which linked the company Twin Jet to the Agglo du Puy-en-Velay. The shuttle was therefore suspended until August 31. "I have no doubt that Laurent Wauquiez (president of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region) will find a solution so that the connection resumes", says Laurent Suau, mayor of Mende. For the moment, an alternative solution has been found near Aveyron, with a Mende – Rodez – Paris-Orly bus and plane connection. The flight will be operated by the Amelia company, present at the Ruthenian airport. On the other hand, while until now the bus shuttle was free, you will have to pay 45 € round trip, leave a little earlier and return a little later for this Aveyron alternative.
