Le demi de mêlée Baptiste Serin a été désigné capitaine du XV de France pour le match face à l'Argentine samedi, dernier d'une tournée des Bleus qui se termine dans un contexte extra-sportif très tendu.

The traditional summer tour was overshadowed by the arrest on Monday of Oscar Jegou (21 years old) and Hugo Auradou (20 years old) accused by a woman of violent rape during the night from Saturday to Sunday in their hotel in Mendoza (west) after the victory in the first test match (28-13). Both players were transferred from Buenos Aires on Thursday. They must be heard Friday morning by the courts to answer the accusations of the complainant who was hospitalized Thursday for "decompensation", according to her lawyer.

The same team… without Auradou and Jegou

The day before the two arrests, full-back Melvyn Jaminet was sent back to France after a video published on his Instagram account containing racist remarks. After a success against Uruguay (43-28), Fabien Galthié's men complete their nightmare tour against the Pumas, at the José-Amalfitani stadium, home of Velez Sarsfield footballers. For this last outing, the Blues staff opted for the team that beat Argentina in the first match, apart from Jegou and Auradou.

The Rochelais is replaced by his club partner Judicaël Cancoriet (28 years old), who has not been called up to the French team for six years and the last of his four selections, marked by a heavy setback against the All Blacks (52-11) on June 9, 2018 at the legendary Eden Park. Initially scheduled to start, he missed the first match of the tour due to a slight sore throat. Auradou is replaced on the second line by Lyonnais Mickaël Guillard (23 years old, 1 selection). The most seasoned player on this tour, Serin (30 years old, 45 selections) retains his captaincy stripes, while the young Montpellier native Lenni Nouchi will have a second start in blue.
