“You have become annoying”: Léa Salamé tries to make a joke about Artus stopping drinking and it doesn’t work at all
|A sequence on Artus's cessation of alcohol provokes reactions on social networks. Captures
Léa Salamé, who hosts the weekly show Quelle époque on France 2, received this Saturday, April 27, the artist Artus, whose first film is released this Wednesday, May 1.
The remark was intended to be humorous, but it falls flat. Léa Salamé received Artus this Saturday April 27 on her show Quelle Époque. While he explains that he has managed his anxieties much better since he stopped drinking and smoking, the journalist tells him "ah you have become boring".
"I do lots of little extra things and it's going much better", explains the actor who is releasing his first film this May 1st to Léa Salamé who questioned him about his anxious character. "I stopped drinking, smoking…"< /em> begins the comedian, before being interrupted by Léa Salamé who says "ah you have become boring", taking Artus by surprise. "No but I mean, you're no longer anxious but you're annoying", insists the journalist.
Internet users shocked by the sequence
"It’s very French that, as soon as we say that we stop drinking, we become boring even though it’s good not to drink alcohol" ;. Léa Salamé continues to tease the actor who lets loose in turn: "but fuck you", and to remind us that s& rsquo;had he said he was quitting coke, he would have been congratulated.
On social networks, the sequence does not fail to provoke a reaction. Many Internet users are outraged that the public service conveys this kind of message.

Doctors react
"Alcohol and tobacco worsen anxiety disorders and suicide risk. Saying 'ah yeah you've become boring' to someone who has managed to overcome their addictions it is disastrous for public health", written in particular under the sequence Hugo Baup, psychiatrist.
Franck Clarot, doctor specializing in medical imaging, also shared the sequence by commenting: "Really too bad that the "public service" conveys this type of message… Not drinking or smoking is neither a mark of weakness nor a sign of unfriendliness. On the contrary, it is very respectable and a guarantee of awareness of the risks of these behaviors for health.
The show, which presents itself as "impertinent" on his X profile, formerly Twitter, did not react to the controversy sparked by the sequence.
