Your votes: Céret, still in the running for the title of the most beautiful market in France

Soutenez le marché de Céret. TF1

Who will succeed La Réole (Gironde) as the most beautiful market in France ? In its 1 p.m. edition, TF1 revealed the last ten finalists still in the running, who will know their fate this week from June 24. And among these, we find the representative of Languedoc-Roussillon, the Céret market, in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

The fragrant stalls of the Céret market color every week the heart of this city which inspired Brune, Chagall, Dufy, Herbin, Maillol, Matisse and Picasso. Its stones steeped in history come to life every Saturday morning, celebrating regional know-how in the shade of the plane trees. "A central place of life, but also of reunions for the local population and those of surrounding communities", recalls TF1 on its website.

Nine competitors

Céret's nine competitors are the markets of Villeneuve-sur-Lot (Aquitaine), Louhans (Burgundy), Dinan (Brittany), Argenton-sur-Creuse (Creuse), Sedan (Champagne-Ardennes) , Thiéfosse (Lorraine), Revel (Midi-Pyrénées), Audruicq (Nord-Pas-de-Calais), as well as the Halles de Niort (Poitou-Charentes).

Everyone will benefit from a report, over the next three weeks, during the 1 p.m. news on TF1. "This will be an opportunity to discover the setting and character of the market, the flagship product that can be found there, the emblematic character of the place, the soul of this market, and that you will find here and nowhere else,” explains presenter Marie-Sophie Lacarrau.

We vote until June 14

The public has until June 14 to vote for their favorite market on the page Your most beautiful market. At the end of the three weeks voting, the super jury composed of Isabelle Ithurburu, Bruce Toussaint and Laurent Kérusoré, as well as three viewers, will meet at TF1 on June 21 to vote on the basis of the three markets at the top of the national voting list. The winner of the seventh season of Your Most Beautiful Market will be revealed the week of June 24.
