Zac des Sablas: the Court of Appeal rejects the opponents’ appeal

The Administrative Court of Toulouse confirmed the legality of the prefectural decree granting the Pays d'Uzès community of communes environmental authorization for the creation of this ZAC.

La Zac des Sablas, in the commune of Montaren-et-Saint-Médiers had aroused opposition from associations of the Collective for the Protection of Uzège and the Soreve. The Toulouse Administrative Court of Appeal has just ruled favorably on "lthe legality of the decree of the prefect of Gard of March 20, 2019 granting the CCPU (community of communes of the Pays d'Uzès) an environmental authorization for the creation of the concerted development zone (ZAC) des Sablas slice 1".

The CCPU evokes "one more step towards a project useful to the territory"

This was an appeal filed by opponents following the rejection of their request for annulment of the prefectural decree by the court administrative office of Nîmes. 

The CCPU takes note of this decision and notes that it has responded "in its project to all the requirements of the law regarding the protection of ;#39;environment and fight against natural risks", evoking  "one more step towards a project useful to the territory& quot;.

With projects like "the enhancement and development of local know-how; facilitate the establishment of& ;#39;employment creation initiatives to enable the expansion of the offer of physical and sporting activities..." recalling that "the implementation of activities in the Zac is still the subject of arbitration within a commission of elected officials which will soon derail the choices made. nbsp;
