Table tennis: Lebrun brothers, first tickets, date… everything you need to know about the WTT Champions in Montpellier

The WTT Champions of Montpellier will take place from October 22 to 27, 2024 at the Sud de France Arena with the world's best table tennis players.

After the incredible success of table tennis at the Paris Olympic Games, the world's best players, including the Lebrun brothers, are expected in Montpellier for a WTT Champions, from October 22 to 27, 2024.

For the first time in France, the Sud de France Arena will host the 32 best players in the world for a WTT Champions. It is the tennis equivalent of a Masters 1,000.

A small change compared to the Olympics, the nations will not be limited in the number of players present (2 players in singles in Paris) because it is an individual competition. China could for example then have six representatives including the Olympic singles champion Fan Zhendong.

A wish from the mayor

The first tickets for sale will be available from this Tuesday, August 20 for WTT subscribers and Thursday, August 22 for the general public. The opportunity to see Félix and Alexis Lebrun shine at home in Montpellier, in front of their home crowd.

An event wanted in part by the metropolis. “I prefer to support a sporting event than to pay for major communication campaigns, because it talks about Montpellier, it supports our hotel industry, our restaurateurs, etc. Kevin Mayer, the adventure of the Lebrun brothers, all contribute to the influence of Montpellier”, declared the mayor of Montpellier and president of the metropolis, Michaël Delafosse in our columns.
