The 24-year-old rapper, a resident of Essonne, was driving a luxury sports sedan when he crashed at high speed into a heavy goods vehicle parked on an exit ramp of a gas station on the A86 motorway. The front passenger, born in 1994, died, while the rear passenger, born in 1999, was slightly injured. The truck driver also suffered minor injuries, according to the prosecution.

Koba LaD had already been sentenced in 2020 to a three-month suspended prison sentence and 140 hours of community service for a road accident in Marseille, where he fled before surrendering to the police three days later. He had also been given a four-month driving ban in connection with this case.
