La situation s’est largement arrangée comparé à la veille mais le retour à la normale, ce n’est pas encore pour tout de suite.

The anger of farmers continues this Sunday, January 28 in the morning to generate disruptions on the highways. The situation has largely improved compared to the day before, but a return to normal is not yet imminent. Update on the Vinci Autoroute network, according to the latest information communicated shortly before 9 a.m.

“Following the shutdown of demonstration points obstructing traffic, a large number of motorway sectors were able to be reopened during the night, explains the dealer. However, it is recommended that all drivers find out about the traffic conditions before any trip.” Here's the detail.

The axes reopened to traffic:

The entire A9 between Montpellier and Spain in both directions The A61 between Toulouse and Narbonne in both directions The A54 between Arles and Salon de Provence in both directions The A66 to reach Carcassonne and Narbonne in both directions The A64 in the Pyrénées Atlantiques in both directions The A51 between Cadarache and Sisteron in both directions There are no longer any cuts to the A10 and A11 motorways at the Saint Arnoult barrier  The A89 is fully open between Lyon and Bordeaux

However, there remain a few points of demonstrations hindering traffic, involving road closures
taken by the prefectural authorities (non-exhaustive list subject to rapid change):

Cut of the A7 between Chanas and Orange towards Marseille Cut of the A7 between Avignon and Chanas towards Lyon Cut of the A10 in the Saintes sector and between Saint-Maixent and Poitiers in both directions Cutoff of the A20 in the Montauban sector in both directions Cut of the A54 between Arles and Nîmes in both directions Cut of the A62 between Agen and Montauban in both directions Cutoff of the A63 in the Bayonne sector in both directions Cut of the A64 in the Hautes-Pyrénées in both directions Cutoff of the A71 at Bourges heading south Cut of the A837 between Saintes and Tonnay-Charente in both directions

Vinci Autoroutes adds that “demonstrations at certain interchanges and toll barriers also hinder traffic and certain accesses to the highway may be modified by traffic management measures”. And specifies that, like the day before, in the areas concerned, the secondary network is particularly saturated and traffic difficult due to the postponement of traffic. The blockages could change during the day.

The "siege of Paris" Monday

Monday January 29, it is in the capital that the difficulties could be concentrated. The branches of the FNSEA and Young Farmers in the Paris region and the north of France called on Saturday for a "siege" from Paris from Monday "for an indefinite period" despite the announcements of the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, intended to appease the anger of the peasant world.

"All heavy roads leading to the capital will be occupied by farmers", starting Monday at 2 p.m. , write in a press release the two organizations representing farmers from Ile-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Aube, Eure, and ;Eure-et-Loir, Marne and Seine-Maritime.
