Vauvert will have to learn his lesson

These Héraultais were too strong for the Gardois, Sunday.

For its third league match, the promoted Vauvert suffered on the Atlas Paillade pitch. A river and final score (5-0) and not a single shot on target for the visitors. Geoffrey Dernis' men, who arrived on the bench during the off-season, were able to show seriousness on both sides of the field to secure a more than convincing victory. The Pailladins were applied offensively from the first minutes of the game and put their opponents in difficulty with each acceleration.

They also showed accuracy in concluding most of their collective actions, such as Benyazid's opening goal (22nd), receiving a cross at the far post.

In the second half, the locals made the difference by counterattacking, taking advantage of the generosity and marking errors of the Gardois. The latter were surprised again by a cross concluded with a header by Hmimou (62nd). The Héraultais then rolled out at the end of the match by scoring three goals in the last quarter of an hour, with the last one scored by Nait (90th +5), just before the final whistle, to conclude this festival. If Vauvert was in difficulty in the defensive sector, this was also the case in attack with no shots on target from the Gardois. A match to forget, unless it is to learn from it, to gain experience in Regional 1 and to try to redeem themselves against Grau-du-Roi on the next day.
