A 5-year-old child was hit by a car this Saturday, June 22, around 2 p.m., boulevard Alphonse-Daudet in Saint-Gilles.

A 5-year-old girl was hit by a car this Saturday, early in the afternoon, on Boulevard Alphonse-Daudet. The injured child who was in relative emergency – her life is not in danger –, was rescued by the firefighters of Saint-Gilles and Vauvert and transported to the pediatric department of the Nîmes hospital center.

The driver of the vehicle in question tested positive for narcotics. The gendarmerie and the departmental roads service were on site and secured the emergency response.
