A great weekend for the BCAM athletes from Béziers

Le Biterrois Jonathan Rousset a pris la seconde place sur l’ultra-trail de la Transaubrac.

Sur route comme sur trail, les athlètes du club biterrois ont réalisé de belles performances les 20 et 21 avril derniers.

A weekend full of performances for the Béziers cheminots athletics Méditerranée (BCAM). In Aveyron, Jonathan Rousset was in Bertholène, at the start of the Transaubrac. A 107km ultra-trail in nature with 3418m of elevation gain. The Biterrois took a good second place and finished the race in 10 h 15. His teammate Benoit Mothu also manages to finish the race, which is already an achievement when we take into account the 107 abandonments and only 341 finishers.

On the road, three members of the club were present on the 5 km of Saint-Pierre-La-Mer. Among the women, Fanny Ducrocq took third place on the podium. At the same time, Sophie Limier took the silver medal in the under-55 category and achieved the minimums, which allowed her to secure a place at the next French championships . Victor Konychev took sixth place in the general classification and finished first junior.

Victor Konychev and Fanny Ducroq will be present at the Interclubs, in Perpignan, on Sunday April 28. This competition represents a big highlight of the year that the young people prepared for during a one-week intensive course in Spain.
