A handful of wine growers demonstrate in front of the Béziers sub-prefecture

Around ten wine growers' vehicles demonstrated in front of the Béziers sub-prefecture this Monday, January 29 in the early morning.

Wine growers with around ten vehicles including tractors came to the Béziers sub-prefecture to continue to demonstrate their dissatisfaction. A spontaneous demonstration bringing together around thirty people which ended around 9 a.m. and which did not cause any traffic problems in Béziers. Other sporadic actions would be expected during Monday, but for the moment no one knows in which corner of the city the winegrowers will be heard, or even themselves. ;they will demonstrate again.

During their presence at Place De Gaulle, the sub-prefect of Béziers, Jacques Lucbereillh spoke with them for a long time, in order to understand the uneasiness that pushes them to demonstrate. A little earlier, some had lit a fire of pallets and tires in front of the Castels et Frères establishments, wine merchants. This profession is particularly singled out, like mass distribution, considered responsible for a large part of the woes of winegrowers.
