During the night of Tuesday 16 to Wednesday April 17, 2024, around 3 a.m., a newspaper delivery man who was leaving to collect newspapers before making his rounds came across a little girl, aged around two years old, in pajamas wandering alone on the road, in the Neuhof district, in Strasbourg, reports The Latest News from Alsace.

The door wouldn't close

The man immediately went to the police station with the child. He was interviewed by the police and was quickly exonerated. The little girl who was taken to the pediatric emergency room.

According to the local newspaper, she was doing well and her father came to pick her up. He then explained to the police that the front door of her apartment did not close due to a security defect and the child had escaped his vigilance. The Strasbourg juvenile brigade opened an investigation.
