L’année 2024 a débuté par les championnats départementaux, ce week-end salle Ramadier.

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February, the Pierre-Ramadier room returned to competitive baton twirling, on the occasion of the departmental championship which brought together Aude, Gard, Hérault and the Pyrénées- Orientals. The local club, with 80 members, including 50 athletes, fielded 23 solos, 3 duos and 3 teams: “All will be present during the next stage, namely the Selectives, in Trèbes, March 16 and 17. From there, only the best ranked will go to "the League" At the beginning of April. You will then have to earn your place for the ½ finals of the French championship, and the best will reach the final at the beginning of June."

And the TBL intends to reach all levels: "Of course, there is still work to be done, but what we saw this weekend suggests a good season, with athletes progressing and good harmony in the group, confirmed coach Clarisse Martinez. The technical center will now take stock and continue training in this rapidly evolving sport.

"At the national level, the emphasis is placed on gymnastics, the dramatization of choreography and technical movements." Rigour, repetitions, work, this is what awaits young athletes.
