After Action, Zeeman, Hema… Wibra, a Dutch discount brand, arrives in France

The Dutch non-food discount brand Wibra plans to open several stores in 2024 in France, starting in the north of the country.

A new Dutch discount brand should arrive in France this year and compete with Action, reports Le Parisien. Wibra is preparing to open several stores in France in 2024, starting in the north of the country.

The first French brand should be installed in Roubaix, according to consumer specialist Olivier Dauvers, next June.

Three or four stores to start

"We want to start with three or four stores" this year in the north of France for "feel" the market and "give us time to make adjustments if necessary", explained Claudine Nachtergaele,   Belgium manager for Wibra and responsible for deployment in France, with our colleagues at BFM.

What products ?

Wibra today has 267 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. The brand specializes in textile and everyday products at low prices. In a press release, the brand particularly highlights its range of Dasty household products. Among the various items offered by Wibra in its departments: objects for manual activities, clothing, accessories and bedding for toddlers, body and hair care, toys, kitchen utensils or more decoration.

An online store

The Wibra e-commerce site is already accessible to French consumers, notes Le Parisien, which specifies that&#39 ;it is however necessary to order for a minimum of 35 euros on the Dutch brand's website.
