Diego Lopez (3rd line/Salagou)

Diego Lopez "has just turned 17" and has the opportunity to win the “Best Young Player in the Regional” Trophy. In his first year as an U19 last year, the young third-row centre quickly took on the role of captain in an RCO Salagou team that “unfortunately failed to qualify for the final stages”, says the man who signed with RC Nîmois for the 2024-2025 season, “to continue to progress.”

Five tries scored in thirteen games and a potential that saw him called up to the Hérault selection last season.

After four matches in the pink and white jersey, Diego and his teammates lost in the final against Haute-Garonne.
"Defeat in the final is still a disappointment in the season", explains Diego Lopez.

Yannick Le Gaubichon (3rd row/Poussan)

Like Diego Lopez, he was able to play with the Hérault U19 selection last season. Third row wing at Poussan, the now 19-year-old started playing rugby five years ago. “I tried several sports in my youth before taking up rugby”, says Yannick Le Gaubichon.

With five tries in twelve matches played, Yannick was one of the driving forces of the AS Poussan U19s last year. “As I was captain, I took on responsibilities”, explains the flanker. That season, he was able to taste a title, at the beginning of April, with a victory in the home final against Pézenas. Author of a try in his team's 33-10 success, Le Gaubichon was able to lift a shield with “a group that was really not bad”. Now in the ASBH Espoirs, he hopes to “play as many matches as possible this season”.

Timéo Collinet.

Timéo Collinet (3rd line/Avenir Bleu et Blanc)

Bandeau on ears, blue and white jersey on his shoulders, Timéo Collinet is the third named in this category.
At 15 years old, this player from the Avenir Bleu et Blanc who plays as number one ;nbsp;8 will discover the U19s this season.

With his U16 teammates last season, Timéo achieved great things in Regional 2. First a title in the final of the terroir. “This victory is a great memory, we were 8-0 down at half-time and we managed to win 13-8”, remembers the captain.

The defeat in the semi-finals of Occitanie against the Aveyronnais of Espalion leaves regrets but not will not remove the memories of a shield gleaned with a group of friends. In eleven matches, Timéo Collinet scored eight tries.
