Les jeunes de la mission locale millavoise ont été sensibilisés à la protection animale.

Thursday morning, in the premises of the Millavine branch of the local mission of Aveyron, located at 4 rue de la Mégisserie, there were around fifteen young people following the program. action to raise awareness of animal protection. A two-hour workshop led by Dana Boudeau, Logan Arcier, Dorine Carlat and Magali Izard.

The first three are young people from the local Millavine and Saint-Affricaine mission. They approached the association 1 Toit pour toi, based in Rodez, in order to carry out this workshop. Volunteer from the association Magali Izard joined them on the project. Created in 2015, the association 1 Toit pour toi allows animals to join a foster family to avoid their placement in a shelter.

A project led from A to Z by young people

The project is included in the new workshop proposed by the local mission  : project workshops. "They allow young people to develop a project until its realization, specifies Marine Querol, reception and animation officer then workshop coordinator at the local mission. The structure supports them even in sending emails, phoning, etc."

The four speakers wanted to raise awareness about the abandonment and mistreatment of animals. Dana Boudeau, holder of a BTS GPME, is at the local mission before starting her internship. With communication skills, she was involved in managing social networks and creating the event poster.

Logan Arcier is at the local mission with the aim of "discovering the social field". As for Dorine Carlat, who came from the Saint-Affricaine branch of the local mission, she is "at the end of her training as a dog behaviorist trainer and wishes to [se ] climb to [his] account".

The workshop then in preparation since November certainly allows us to raise awareness, but also to talk about professions in the sector. A way, possibly, to envisage the future for the young people of the local mission.
